Fourteenth Annual "Judy Johnson Night, A Tribute to Negro League Baseball"

•Will give out a limited edition commemorative Negro League Baseball card of
Mamie “Peanut” Johnson to the first 5,000 fans in attendance. Nationally known
sports artist Mike Mellett from Covina, California donates his art work for the card
•Will introduce former Negro League players before the game. Many, including
Mamie Johnson will be available for autographs for a donation during the game.
•Will have a special postal cancellation to celebrate the event courtesy USPS.
•Will award scholarships in Judy Johnson’s memory.
•Will have a large silent auction of baseball memorabilia and the sale of
Negro League Jerseys and Jackets to benefit the scholarship program.
•Will have Ellen Rendle sell and autograph her book on Judy Johnson.
•Will have special vendors to sell replica Negro League memorabilia.
•Will have Mamie “Peanut” Johnson throw out the first ball.
•Will have a large Negro League History display courtesy of Ray Banks

The prime purpose of the night will be to keep Judy Johnson’s memory alive,
present scholarships in his name and to better educate the general public on the
interesting history of Negro League Baseball.
